about my work

Hi! I’m a freelance photojournalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I post most of my work on Instagram at @ianshootsphotos. I currently work as a freelancer for the Berkeley Times, a print-only community newspaper for the city of Berkeley, and the Oakland Roots Sports Club. I mostly do photography as a part-time gig and hobby; my primary job is an applied data scientist - you can learn more about me professionally on this site’s main page here.
